Access to the Kashiwa Campus of the University of Tokyo

The Kashiwa campus is on the top right of the following map.

See also this site. Using Tsukuba Express and come to Kawhiwanoha Campus station is probably the most convenient way.

Shuttle Bus Service

There is a convenient shuttle bus service (free for visitos and U. Tokyo students). The bus stop is in front of the Mitsui Garden hotel on the west side of the Kashiwanoha campus station of the Tsukuba express. For details, see here.

Location in the campus

From the first bus stop inside the campus "Kibanto mae", walk to the north, looking ISSP on the right and GSFS on the left . After you see a tenis court on the right, you will find a big building to the left, which is Institute of Industrial Science, Chiba Experimental Site.

The large conference room is located on the third floor. Use the elevator to the left of the main entrance of the building.

If the entrance is locked

Please be aware that the entrance is usually locked. We'll keep the main entrance unlocked from 14:00 until 17:30 on July 11 and from 9:00 until 10:00 and from 11:00 until 14:30 on July 12. It will be locked otherwise. When it is locked,

1. Find an internal phone on the wall right to the doorway.
2. Call 66971 (the administration office) and ask to unlock the entrance.

A vending machine for drinks is avaialbe inside the building but to buy something else including food, you will have to go outside the building. Note the above when you go outside.
