Quantum active matter in non-Hermitian systems

In Ref.[1], we recently found that a non-Hermitian quantum many-body system exhibits quantum phase transitions similar to ones in active matter, an ensemble of self-propelled particles known to describe various biological systems such as a flock of birds or fish. In this talk, I will explain our idea and results.
